Elizabeth is 6 years old and attends Aunt Elvis' Primary School, she is in Top Class. Her father abandoned her and the mother leaving them no home, as their home was sold due to no payment. They were left with no where to go. The family survives by the kindness of strangers who give the mother work and help care for the children. The mother has become an alcoholic due to the desperation of her circumstances. The children suffer greatly because of her actions and the absence of the father. The children's education is not consistent because of the lack of school fees.
