Pius lives with his mom in the slums of Kitintale. 

They live in a home that is patched together with bricks, plywood and iron sheets. It provides no privacy or protection from the conditions of the slum. 

On the side of their home, the words, "I'm inside" are spray painted on the outside. The home is in such bad condition, most people do not realize someone is living there and its to avoid it being torn down while they are inside. 

Sponsorship means Pius is safe and fed at least one meal each day at school.
